# Learner guide: using this course Foundations of Modern Agile Practice is a free, text-led introduction of about four hours, for a learner who wants a defensible starting point before deciding whether a predictive, adaptive, or hybrid approach fits a specific piece of work. It is not a framework implementation guide, certification preparation, or a substitute for experienced local judgement. Start with the orientation, then take the five modules in order: The Agile Mindset; Teams, Roles and Rhythm; Delivering Value; Flow and Continuous Improvement; and Agile in the Real World. Each lesson introduces a concept before asking you to apply it. Use the feedback in each activity to revisit the reading. Activities and module checks allow unlimited attempts and do not score, assess, or certify you. Lessons marked as Deeper Dives are optional. They broaden your vocabulary but do not affect CORE completion. The final module closes with a small capstone: one modest agile loop on real work, finished with a private reflection that stays in your browser. Every lesson is complete in text. Lesson videos and the course trailer are in production and are not yet public. If a visual, interaction, or download creates a barrier, use the linked reading fallback and report the barrier through the site's contact route with the lesson or resource title. No certificate is currently offered. Before transferring an idea to work, read the [reference ledger](fmap-references.md) and write down the local constraints, decision authority, and evidence you would need.
