Twelve Principles in Four Clusters
The twelve principles make the values operational. This lesson groups them into four memorable clusters: deliver value early and continuously; welcome learning and change; collaborate in sustainable, trusted teams; and pursue simplicity, quality, and regular adaptation.
Iterative work revisits and improves something through feedback. Incremental work adds usable pieces. Strong adaptive delivery usually uses both: small increments create evidence, and iterations use that evidence to improve what follows.

coreTwelve principles, four working clusters
Deliver value early and continuously. Useful increments create evidence sooner and reduce the distance between an idea and real feedback.
Welcome learning and change. Changing direction is rational when new evidence changes what will create value. The goal is not churn; it is avoiding confident investment in an obsolete assumption.
Build trusted, sustainable collaboration. Frequent conversation, motivated people, a sustainable pace, and self-organizing teams make important information easier to share and act upon.
Practice simplicity, quality, and adaptation. Technical excellence protects the ability to change. Simplicity avoids work that does not need to exist. Regular reflection turns experience into the next improvement.
Incremental work adds usable pieces. Iterative work revisits and improves through feedback. Most effective adaptive work combines both.

coreDeliver value early
Small usable increments shorten the distance to real feedback.
Welcome learning and change
New evidence should be able to change the next decision.
Build trusted collaboration
Conversation, autonomy, and sustainable pace help teams act on information.
Simplify, improve, adapt
Quality protects change, simplicity removes unnecessary work, and reflection guides improvement.

corePrinciples wheel: a text equivalent
- Deliver value early and continuously.
- Welcome learning and change.
- Collaborate through trusted, sustainable teams.
- Pursue simplicity and quality, then reflect and adapt.
The wheel is cyclical: delivery creates evidence, evidence enables learning, collaboration turns learning into action, and reflection improves the next delivery.
